Upon arrival in Skardu (via flight or road), transfer to the hotel and refresh. Begin the tour with a visit to Shangrila Resort (Lower Kachura Lake), followed by a scenic walk around Upper Kachura Lake. Enjoy the peaceful environment and mountainous surroundings before returning to the hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, head out for an excursion to the historic Shigar Fort. Explore the museum and heritage site, then continue towards the Sarfaranga Cold Desert. Enjoy optional jeep rides or simply take in the surreal white sand dunes surrounded by mountains. Return to Skardu in the evening for dinner and rest.
Start an early morning drive from Skardu to Hunza via Gilgit. The journey offers some of the most scenic views along the Indus River. Make a short stop at the junction point of the world’s three greatest mountain ranges, then continue to Hunza Valley. Reach Karimabad by evening, check in to your hotel, and relax.
Explore the historical gems of Hunza today. Visit the 900-year-old Altit Fort and the stunning Baltit Fort perched on a hilltop. Wander through the old streets of Karimabad, interact with locals, and enjoy Hunza’s local cuisine. Later, drive up to Duikar (Eagle’s Nest) for a panoramic sunset view over snow-capped peaks.
Take a full-day trip to Upper Hunza (Gojal). Begin with boating in the breathtaking Attabad Lake, followed by visits to the Passu Cones, Passu Glacier viewpoint, and the thrilling Hussaini Suspension Bridge. Optionally, visit Gulmit village for a taste of local Wakhi culture. Return to Karimabad by evening.
After breakfast, begin the return journey. Travel back to Gilgit Airport for your flight or continue driving back toward Islamabad, depending on the travel plan. This marks the end of a memorable Skardu and Hunza adventure.
