This trek is one of the world’s top high-altitude journeys, offering views of four 8,000-meter peaks in Northern Pakistan’s Karakoram Range. Known for its remote glaciers and dramatic mountain landscapes, the region is a favorite among international trekkers and adventure seekers.

The Baltoro Glacier, stretching 62 kilometers, is the main highlight of the route. Surrounded by towering granite spires and some of the planet’s highest mountains, it provides an unmatched trekking experience.

At the meeting point of the Baltoro, Vigne, and Godwin-Austen glaciers lies Concordia—often called the “throne room of the mountains.” Just 10 kilometers away, the iconic K2 rises sharply above the horizon, creating an unforgettable setting for trekkers. Our plan includes three days around the upper Baltoro area, giving enough time to explore and enjoy this remarkable place.

The journey continues to Gondogoro La Pass (5,650m), a challenging but rewarding crossing that connects the Baltoro region with the Hushe Valley. From the top, trekkers can admire close-up views of four 8,000-meter peaks—K2, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, and Broad Peak—making this one of the most remarkable trekking experiences in Pakistan.

This trek is considered strenuous and challenging, as it involves walking on glaciers, high passes, and rough terrain at altitudes above 5,000 meters. Previous trekking or mountaineering experience and good physical fitness are highly recommended.
The best season for the Four 8000s Base Camp Trek is from June to September, when the weather is relatively stable, skies are clearer, and mountain views are at their best.
Trekkers enjoy spectacular views of K2 (8611m), Broad Peak (8047m), Gasherbrum I (8080m), and Gasherbrum II (8035m), along with other iconic peaks like Masherbrum, Trango Towers, Chogolisa, and Mustagh Tower.
Yes. Since the trek passes through restricted zones of the Karakoram, you will need a trekking permit and No Objection Certificate (NOC), which are arranged by your tour operator.
In cities like Islamabad and Skardu, accommodation is in standard hotels. During the trek, you will stay in tents on a twin-sharing basis. Freshly prepared meals, including Pakistani and continental dishes, are provided by the trekking crew.
The Gondogoro La Pass (5650m) is the highlight of this trek. From its summit, trekkers witness a 360-degree panorama of four 8000-meter peaks, glaciers, and the lush Hushe Valley — considered one of the most breathtaking views in the Karakoram.
